Chap Stick

She used it for her humble lips,

a defense, reconciling the winds' violent torment

moisturizing to avoid future blemishes

Grungy lips would only be a disservice

(such a ravishing face, she has)

as she gave a quick glance at my own puckered lips

She motioned her lips and compressed them towards mine

her charity, was too assure my safety

I gladly return the favor through smooching

That illuminated dark skylines and warmed our being.

Through this timeless seconds

against blistering conditions

and even though her initial concern was for my well being

her exuberance on the chap

gave me a hurling reaction

the present became cold again

and killed the moment
